| About Us
The Scottish Society of NorthWest Georgia was organized June 2008 by Bill & Jean Hayes, along with immediate family members & interested friends, in order to embrace their Scottish heritage; but also to learn about Scotland, it's culture and Scottish ancestry.
We choose to be a family-oriented Society and the last impression we want to leave is any economic strain on our members. Therefore, the Scottish Society of NorthWest Georgia does not request annual dues. There are, however, many opportunities we hope to continue pursuing which occasionally request voluntary contributions of time or resources. Such activities include society dinners/parties; sponsoring a needy child at Christmas; hosting children's activities at the Appalachian/Celtic Festival; and providing research/educational opportunities at various festivals and locations.
SSNWG typically gathers on the third Monday of each month. The evening begins at 6pm with fellowship over a supper meal. Society business, special projects and planning discussion begins at 7pm.
We look forward to sharing many happy occasions in the future!
